Sexual representation
The representation of masculine and feminine in my view is also very important to the performances I have made. I think that we also try to find masculinity and feministic to objects and art works. In the works made recently I have found that its is often the costume that represents sexuality. It apparent in everyday life that the first main appearance difference between men and woman is how there body is shaped and what they are dressed in. By subverting these it can often create a sense of sexualizing and unease in some people. When making "Paint Brush Head Man" these roles where subverted. The Dominant figure dressed in feminine clothes and the recessive figure was dressed in masculine clothes. This juxtaposition created an uneasy viewing and meaning.
